Sky Works Academy is a centre of excellence for aeronautical training, born from the collaboration between Aliplan s.r.l., a leading company in aeronautical services, and Istituto Salesiano San Zeno of Verona to offer young people a highly specialized training path to become an aeronautical maintenance technician.

ALIPLAN s.r.l.

Aliplan s.r.l. is a company founded in 2007, specialized in the management of continuing airworthiness, approved EASA Part CAMO. It offers complete technical and engineering support services for airlines, lessors and aircraft owners, including airline start-up processes, maintenance management and assistance in aircraft transition phases.

With proven experience and consolidated expertise, Aliplan s.r.l. guarantees tailor-made solutions for the specific needs of customers in the aeronautical sector.

ISTITUTO SALESIANO SAN ZENO

In 1964, 191 young people attended the first training courses.
Today, the Institute welcomes more than 1,700 students every day, and dozens of professionals who choose the School to train and update their skills.

Thanks to numerous partnerships with local, national and international companies, the Istituto Salesiano San Zeno can now count on over 50 highly technological educational laboratories and on programs cutting-edge training.

OF THE ROUTE TRAINING

WHO IS?

The aircraft maintenance technician is a highly sought-after professional figure, with excellent career prospects in airlines, companies of maintenance and overhaul centers. The increase in air traffic and increasingly stringent regulations ensure a demand growing number of certified maintenance workers, both in Italy and abroad.

CERTIFICATION EASA PART 147

Sky Works Academy offers a complete training path to become a certified aircraft maintenance technician, with courses approved according to the strict European standard EASA Part 147.

The training course and the educational laboratories are in progress ENAC (National Civil Aviation Authority) certification according to the strict quality standards of the aeronautical world.

LICENCE B1.1

Each theory module includes a final exam.

Passed all exams of the 13 modules, and completed the 1.200 hours of practice, it will be possible to enter the world of work as a regularly paid technician. After 1 year of work, it will be possible to request the category A license that will enable the technician to sign some maintenance activities, obtaining a career boost already in this first phase. After a further year in the world of work, it will be possible to request the B1.1 licence of Aeronautical Maintenance, allowing the technician to be autonomous in all the interventions of his competence and to access high-profile job positions.

LICENCE B2

The 2.400 hours of theoretical and practical training scheduled within the Sky Works Academy training program will allow you to acquire in-depth skills such that it will be possible, for those who wish, to request the B2 licence (avionics), easily integrating 4 additional exams.

THEORETICAL LESSONS

Provide the fundamental bases, such as knowledge of aircraft systems, regulation and safety, and prepare students to understand the technical complexities of aircraft.

PRACTICAL LESSONS

held in our laboratories or on the airport apron, allow students to apply what they have learned, simulating real aircraft maintenance scenarios under expert guidance
of our instructors.
The laboratory and field activity is closely connected to the world of  work with cutting-edge technologies and equipment: it is the discipline with the greatest number of hours.

The Aircraft Maintenance License (LMA) is issued by ENAC (Ente Nazionale Aviazione Civile) in Italy, and complies with the regulations and standards established by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).

The aviation industry recognizes licenses that comply with EASA standards globally, as these standards are among the highest and most rigorous in the industry.

A technician holding an aircraft maintenance licence (LMA) B1.1B2 can carry
out and certify (release into service) all maintenance activities carried out on aircraft structures, systems, components and propulsion systems (B1.1) and electronic and avionics systems (B2).

What tasks can a technician with a B1.1 or B2 certification perform?

SERVICES

OVERNIGHT STAY
For those coming from out of town, Sky Works Academy offers the possibility of staying at the Istituto Salesiano San Zeno (subject to availability) in via don Giovanni Minzoni, 50 – 37138 (VR) or in affiliated facilities in the area.

FINANCING
We have agreements with leading credit institutions for solutions of subsidized financing to cover the costs of the course.

WORK SERVICES
Students are actively supported at the end of their training course in finding employment.

TRANSPORT
The Institute is conveniently served by the urban bus line, both to and from the FS station and to and from the airport.

BAR AND CANTEEN SERVICE
In addition to food and beverage vendors, the Institute has a bar open to students and a canteen that serves hot meals prepared with a cooking philosophy inspired by proper nutritional education.
